Our Mission Statement:

Isaiah 58: 7, 10

7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?

10 If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.

There are three options with aiding KHNK:

Sponsorship. To become a sponsor of one (1) Ethiopian child through Kids Helping Needy Kids (KHNK) means we will find you a child in Ethiopia, and contact you with the name, age, picture (when available) and a short profile about your child. KHNK will notify you when we send care packages; usually four times a year. Care packages are sent at Christmas time, Easter, July mailing/back-to-school, and Ethiopian New Year’s (September). All sponsors under the age of 18 must have parental consent to sponsor.

Donating a care package. A care package is usually the size of a large Ziploc freezer bag, and can be filled with any of the following: small wrapped seasonal gifts (holiday season only), hygiene products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and etc., packs of gum or hard candy, lightweight educational materials (school supply time only), first aid materials, ponchos, rain coats, light clothing in any size or gender. Our mailings are sent four times a year: Christmas, Easter, summer mailing, and back-to-school/Ethiopian New Year's (September). One thing to note when packing clothing items is that October through December is the summer season in Ethiopia, so please refrain from packing any winter clothing or heavy materials. If you donate any used clothes, they must be in fairly good condition and lightweight. We would appreciate your cooperation in reducing our shipping costs by making your packages light. Another useful note is that the Dollar Store carries most of the above listed items. There is no need for any one care package to cost too much. These packages can be assembled at your convenience, but we will send you a reminder when it is time to bring them in. They can be dropped off at the Price residence, and KHNK will cover all shipping costs.

One-time donation. This is a once-only monetary donation to Kids Helping Needy Kids for those who are not ready to make the committment of sponsorship. These donations are used to cover the costs of mailing our care packages to Ethiopia.
