On Sunday, May 18, 2008 KHNK held a successful fundraising event at Beltsville Day in Beltsville, MD. We raised money by selling pizza and drinks. Many thanks to the volunteers who helped out!
August 2007

The June 2007 Sponsors meeting was canceled; the next meeting will be in September 2007. This month, August 11th will be our 2nd Annual Kids Helping Needy Kids Fundraiser Barbecue. We hope to see you there!

January 2007

Our thanks goes to all of you who came to help us on December 16th. We filled three large suitcases with the care packages, two for the Debre Libanos Orphanage and one for the sponsored children. The suitcases left for Ethiopia with a relative of the Price family just in time to make it for Ethiopian Christmas. There will be no meeting this month. We are pleased to announce that we have gained another 4 sponsors, bringing the total number of sponsored children to thirty! However, our waiting list grows larger by the day, and we are looking for more sponsors. Tell a friend about KHNK!
December 2006

“Christmas in a Shoebox” ran at The Calverton School until December 15th. It was a resounding success, bringing in over 50 filled shoeboxes, and monetary donations to cover the cost of shipping also. We are very grateful to the generosity of the Calverton community. The meeting this month will be a care package assembly meeting, and we ask all our sponsors to bring in filled care packages for their sponsor children. Also, those of you who have “Scratch’n’Help” booklets should turn them in at the meeting.
November 2006

We were pleased to announce at this month’s meeting that we gained 3 new sponsors. The program “Christmas in a Shoebox” was initiated. This is a program where shoeboxes are filled with toys, hygiene materials, clothing items, and etc. These boxes are going to benefit the 63 orphans at the Debre Libanos Orphanage in Ethiopia. Also, booklets for the “Scratch’n’Help Fundraiser” were distributed to our sponsors, and these are due no later than the end of December. See www.abcfundraising.com for info on the Scratch’n’Help program.
October 2006

No meeting this month
September 2006

The last sponsors meeting was on September 9th, 2006. At this meeting, a 45-minute video of the care package distribution day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It showed the day the founders of KHNK met the children; it was a fun-filled day for all involved.
August 2006

The Price family visited Ethiopia for the second time. On this trip, the children were introduced to the founders of the organization they are aided by; the waiting list was vastly expanded; KHNK was more firmly established in Ethiopia. Kids Helping Needy Kids also became affiliated with a severely underfunded orphanage in Debre Libanos, a city in the countryside of Ethiopia.
April 2006

The next Kids Helping Needy Kids meeting is on April 8th, 2006. Invitations have been sent already using www.evite.com. Please let us know if you will be able to attend. We will be assembling care packages at this meeting using materials that you bring in.

March 2006 No meetings this month. Reminder to all sponsors: The care packages for the $10 Challenge are due by April 8th, 2006. Please bring this with you to the meeting. Remeber to bring your receipts if you are entering the contest. The best care package will win a prize from KHNK.
February 2006 Our first KHNK monthly meeting. All of our sponsors are invited.
August 2005

Kids Helping Needy Kids had its first annual fundraiser. The Price family hosted a backyard barbecue where we sold meal tickets for $5.00 a person. There were board games, a sale of KHNK's beautiful hand-crafted bracelets, face painting, outdoor games, and much more fun. After expenses were deducted, we did not make a large profit, but community awareness spread greatly. In that, our true goal was achieved.
